ajoie arguably first became popular through the video Everyday Normal Guy, in which he, in great ironic contrast to typical rap songs, sings about his bland, run-of-the-mill daily activities. Lajoie’s other videos soon became a hit, such as 2 Girls One Cup song, Show Me Your Genitals, Sunday Afternoon, and High as F&*k. On two occasions, Lajoie responded to the popularity of his videos by making sequels. He followed up Everday Normal Guy with Everday Normal Guy 2 and Everday Normal Crew, and did the same for Show Me Your Genitals with Show Me Your Genitals 2: E=MC Vagina. In Everyday Normal Crew, Lajoie not only raps about his boring life but his friends’ as well. At the end of the song he says that he agrees that "the joke’s getting old". To this day his videos have received millions of hits on the Internet, especially those on YouTube. Show Me Your Genitals currently has the highest YouTube viewing of all his videos, at over 9.3 million views. Lajoie’s songs are often parodies of everyday things, such as stay at home dads, pathetic attempts at having sexual intercourse with girls, and doing chores on Sunday afternoons.
